Japan Kyoto, Nara, Koyasan, Hiroshima, Osaka & Kobe 457 (389x640)
Place – Japan

Drink – Asahi Super Dry

Date – July 2013

Price – 310 yen for a 500ml can, upto double in a bar (£2.20)

Highlights – Classic Japanese beer, first beer in Nippon

Probably the most well known of the many Japanese beers, I had no hesitation grabbing a can of this as soon as we arrived in Japan to accompany me on the bullet train. A traditional Japanese rice lager, Asahi is a clean, easy drinking thirst quenching beer, ideal for on a hot summers day after walking around the temples. Asahi deserves a good score of 3.5.
